A 19-year-old pedestrian was injured Tuesday night when he was struck by a car south of Newark, authorities said.
The crash happened at approximately 8:30 p.m. on South College Avenue near Norman Drive, just south of Four Seasons Plaza.
The victim was treated by paramedics and rushed to Christiana Hospital to be treated for a neck injury, according to Cpl. Ruoy L. Koontz, a spokesperson for New Castle County Paramedics.
He was “awake and alert” at the scene, Koontz added.
Delaware State Police is investigating the incident.
