The first truly high-profile Tour event of the year is underway, and many of the world’s best players are in attendance, from Rory and Tiger to Jon Rahm and Jordan Spieth.
Here’s what you missed from Thursday’s action at the Farmers Insurance Open.
It’s a two-way tie at the top
A late surge that included an eagle and a birdie on his final five holes powered Bradley to the top of the leaderboard at six under par overall — a spot he shares with Danish pro Sebastian Cappelen.
Bradley’s round was blemish-free, and included four birdies and an eagle, while Cappelen, who is ranked 341st in the world, carded an incredible eight birdies and two bogeys.
Cappelen has two victories on the Korn Ferry Tour but has never won on the PGA Tour while Bradley has four career Tour victories, including the 2011 PGA Championship.
How did Tiger play?
The Big Cat impressed in his first event of 2020, firing a round of three-under-par 69 that included five birdies and two bogeys. Woods is currently T21, three shots behind the leaders.
